Practices that Elevate Everyone's Life
“Flourish” by Mark Bitz is a cornerstone of the Secrets to Success courses. It explores the perspectives and practices passed down by parents, schools, and communities that shape our lives. Some cultures create a higher quality of life than others.
American culture, once highly desirable, has deteriorated due to science discrediting religious tenets . . . media infiltration . . . family breakdown . . . politicized institutions . . . and divisive news. Community leaders and parents lost influence to powerful entities like media, government, and corporations.
“Flourish”—the result of over forty years of study—answers how we can prevent these influences, foster functional individuals and communities, and elevate our quality of life. It distills evolved insights into essential perspectives and practices that help people thrive.
Philosophy
We have one life to live, and we want to make the most of it. Our childhood experiences shape us, but not always in the most advantageous ways. We would be wise to identify the most advantageous perspectives and practices, and make some adjustments. The sooner we do this, the better.
Professor Bitz places, a high value and simple actionable insights, grounded in reality, or other words, what works best, and treating others like we want to be treated. He learns from genuine and successful people, wants to make a meaningful difference, in hopes to inspire his students to do likewise.
Practical Wisdom
The application of knowledge and insights to everyday life, enabling effective decision-making and personal growth.
Lifelong Learning
The continuous pursuit of knowledge and skills throughout one's life to foster personal and professional development.
